Sad News...

Well,  this week i had gotten some sad news that my place of work is closing down.  I had been there for 13 months & enjoyed working with my work mates - Marion, Tricia, Carly, Sunshyn, & Robyn... We will all stay in contact, but i will miss working with you all...
I will certainly miss the wonderful customers i had made friendships with; and the regular customers that came to classes...
Well, at least ill be able to catch up on my half done projects that had been left behind due to me not having the time to finish them....
Until next time.....

Butterfly Canvas

A few months ago i came across this beautiful Butterfly Canvas that my wonderful creative friend Rebecca Beattie had done.... I had asked her if she wouldn't mind if i had a go at creating her lovely canvas....
Here is Becks blog to check out her canvas...
http://justmebingme.blogspot.com.au/search?updated-max=2012-08-28T22:35:00%2B10:00&max-results=200

Here is my version.  I absolutely love it.... I've used serviettes, paper towel, modge podge, liquid pearls, & glimmer glaze the black butterfly is a glimmer mist stencil, which has been painted & transferred onto acetate..
Thank you once again Beck for your inspiration and letting me have a go at making your canvas....

Altered art Frame/Book

A few weeks ago i went along to a class held by Ruth Limoux.  I absolutely loved doing this class..... We had used texture paste, napkins, lace, stencils & lots of other fun products... In the centre is a handmade book with decorated pages ready to add photos to. I used Kaisercraft's Sweet Nothings Collection.
If you would like to see more of Ruth's work here is her link to her blog....

Lately I've been busy working on my Kaiser Shadow Box / House. I've stained it with Distress Stain, then used Graphic 45 "Olde Curiosity Shoppe" paper range & stamps http://www.g45papers.com/products/olde-curiosity-shoppe-category... then just added charms & trinkets...
I actually came across this idea on another blog which inspired me to do this project...

ooopppps i did it again....

WOW.... I have been published again!!! how exciting....
this issue is 18/5 and im in the Galley section....

I have used a LOTV stamp & coloured it in with my water colour pencils...

Heaven Bound

Here is my Heaven Bound doggy.....

Ive used Tombows to colour, glimmer paint for the wings then glossy accents for the ribbon.

These two little images are available as a set in Beccy's  online store for just $4.00.  As you can see from all the different cards(on beccy's blog) we created, they really are very versatile and can cover a variety of different occasions.  Beccy originally designed them for use on sympathy cards for pet owners, but as we worked with the images we found that they were useful for all sorts of things.
